Our company was founded in Basel in 1941 by Christoph Burckhardt and
originally manufactured combs for the textile and textile machinery
industries.
Over
the years, the assortment of pinned accessories has been continuously
increased and supplemented with drilled parts. In 1983 we joined
with American partners and founded BURCKHARDT AMERICA Inc. in Greensboro
(USA), which is today an independent company. Within the last few
years we have added the production of other mechanical precision
parts, especially for OE spinning and high performance perforation
to the manufacture of our pin carriers and drilled accessories.
Our production site in Basel is equipped with the
most advanced machines and CNC robots - among them many special
machines developed by ourselves. With the support of our highly
qualified personnel, we produce a very wide ranging program of accessories.
In addition, we are focusing on customers needs, developing new
and special designs of machines and precision parts with pins, holes
or other execution. Besides, there is cooperation with other firms
for special products complementing our program. Our parts are delivered
to producers of machinery, textiles, plastics and various others
on every continent, not least thanks to the efforts of our numerous
agents. Our latest addition to the product range are high performance
perforating units as well as fibrillating modules.
Our long tradition of quality workmanship,
precision, innovation and dependability enables us to step into
the future with inventiveness, dynamism and energy. The name Burckhardt
in the third generation guarantees our stability.
